Wilma Jean Young Vandeveer, 87, of Dillsboro, IN, died February 27, 2011 in Dillsboro, IN.

She was born Sunday, February 21, 1924 in Prairie County, Illinois, Daughter of the late Charles Young and the late Carrie Deich Young.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Wickliffe, Indiana and a devoted friend to the First Baptist Church of Aurora, Indiana through tape ministry, communion and visits.

Wilma worked as a Factory worker for Cochran Chair.

Surviving are Daughter, Shirley Vandeveer Bryant and husband Robert of Aurora, IN; 3 Grandchildren, Dale (Theresa) Ingle of Flint, MI, Darrel (Janet) Ingle of Aurora, IN, John H. Cann III of East Enterprise, IN; 4 Great-Grandchildren, Jordan & Taylor Ingle, Courtney & Peyton Cann; 3 Step great-grandchildren all of Flint, MI; Brother, Robert Young of Indianapolis, IN; 2 Sisters, Norma Spears of Eckerty, IN, Lenora Ann Wuest of Fredricksburg, IN.

She was preceded in death by Sister, Aileen Young and Brother, Charles L. Young.


Friends will be received Thursday March 3, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana. Visitation from 12:00-2:00 PM Friday March 4, 2011 at Denbo Funeral Home 628 E. State Road 64 English, Indiana 47118.

Services will be at Denbo Funeral Home Friday at 2:00 PM.

Interment will follow in the Wickliffe Cemetery, in Crawford County, Indiana.
