William "Bill" Hoskins, 85, formerly of Moores Hill, Indiana passed away Monday, August 8, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He was born Sunday, February 14, 1926 in Kalamazoo, MI, Son of the late Joseph Hoskins and the late Agnes Dennerline Hoskins.

He served his Country as a member of the United States Navy during WWII. He worked for Alton Box, then for the Indiana State Highway Department, retiring after over 26 years of service. Bill was a simple man, and he loved his grandchildren dearly. He was a member of the American Legion Post 231 for over 50 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hunting for arrowheads. Bill loved to read, especially anything to do with history.

Surviving are Daughters, Donna (Steve) Caudell of Monroe, OH, Bonnie Singer of Rhode Island, NY; Son, Joseph (Klancee) Hoskins of Moores Hill, IN; 7 Grandchildren; and 3 Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Toshiko Hoskins.


Friends will be received 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Friday, August 12, 2011 at 11:00 am with Greg Caudell officiating.


Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, IN 47001. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of local Veterans Service Organizations.
