Salvator Charles "Charlie" Tedesco of Moores Hill, Indiana passed away on June 24, at home surrounded by his family.

Charlie Tedesco was born January 25, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Son of the late Anthony Tedesco and the late Josephine Caruso Tedesco.

Charlie was a Veteran who served as a medic from 1955-1957. He also was a pitcher for the New York Giants AAA Team.

He worked for the Schoeny Company for over 30 years. He also had a produce stand at Findlay Market where he worked every Saturday. In 1984 Charlie and his beloved wife Sue started Tedesco's Pizza in Moores Hill. Then in 1986 opened a second Pizza Place in Bright. Later, together with his 9 children he opened a Shell/Subway store in Bright in 2004. He enjoyed bowling, fishing with his grandchildren at the pond, playing corn hole with his son-in-laws and watching the Cincinnati Reds.

Charlie is survived by his Sister, MaryAnn (Bill) Pitchford; Daughters, Marysue (Ken) Brown, Nancy (Joe) Engel, Beth (Lou) Hyde, Tina (Rick) Greive, Chris (Mark) Couch, Kate (Kevin) Stegemiller, Pat (Tim) Wright; Sons, Matthew (Susan) Tedesco, Charlie (Shyra) Tedesco; Grandchildren, Adam, Andy, Jake, Erin, Meghan, Kate and Sarah Brown, Brian, Cherie, Beth Ann and Dan Engel, Nick, Phil, Sue and Rebecca Hyde, Tiffany, Kaylee, Kristen and Leah Wright, Emily and Samantha Greive, Morgan, Margo, John and Charlie Tedesco and Drew Miller, Seth, Samuel and Maggie Couch, Noah and Christopher Stegemiller.

He was preceded in death by his Beloved wife Sue, son John and Brother Joseph Tedesco.


Services

Friends will be received 2:00 - 5:00 PM, Thursday, June 30, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Aurora, Indiana.

Mass will be held at 5:00 pm following visitation with Father Donahue officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of local Veterans Service Organizations.
