Robert "Bob" Clayton Knippenberg, 92, of Aurora, IN, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 in Lawrenceburg, In.

He was born Saturday, November 24, 1917 in Aurora, Indiana, Son of the late Albert Knippenberg and the late Lois Earle Knippenberg.

He was an Army Veteran serving his Country during WWII. He was a member of First United Methodist Church Aurora and a  Freemason - Aurora Lodge for over 50 years. He was a graduate of Aurora High School.

Mr. Knippenberg was a Barber for over37 years. He was the Owner/Operator of Knippenberg's Barbershop in Aurora.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Knippenberg of Aurora, IN; Daughters, Sue ( Husband, Ron) Craig of Dillsboro, IN, Debbie (Husband Terry) Reuland of Hidden Valley, IN, Lois (Husband, Jim) Cook of Charlotte, NC, Janet (Husband, Troy) Craven of Dillsboro, IN; Grandchildren, Stacey (Rodney) Weaver, Sarah (Shane) Holloway, Jennifer (Jason) Distasio, Steven Meyer, Tom Reuland, Dan ( Paula Paradis) Reuland, Charles (Melissa) Reuland, Julie (Dan) Lang, Laura ( Raymond) Chan, Lisa (Ryan) Hoff, Brandon Redwine & Brett Redwine; Great-Grandchildren, Zachary Bill, Aubrey Holloway, Hannah, CJ, Franny, Oliver, Toby, Marcus, & Madison.

He was preceded in death by Sister, Kathryn Hooper, Brother-In-Law Walter Hooper & Son-In-Law Mark Meyer.


Friends will be received 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana. 

Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Wednesday, at 8:00 pm. Military services will be conducted by members of local Veterans Service Organizations.

Interment will be at the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, IN.
