Lillian I. Sharp

Lillian Irene Sharp, 88, of Harrison, OH, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

She was born Thursday, January 18, 1923 in Lahoma, OK., Daughter of the late Edwin Brakhage and the late Metta Rathjen Brakhage.

She was a life time member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Aurora.

Lillian was a wonderful cook. She was an excellent seamstress, and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening and crafts. Her favorite pastime was time spent with family.

Surviving are Daughters, Mary (Richard) Blake of Anderson, IN, and Joyce (Dr. Lea) Richmond of Gainesville, GA,; Son, Eddie (Karen) G. Sharp of Harrison, OH; Sister, Genieva (Don) Kehn of Sapulpa, OK.; Grandchildren, Lori Meier, Rand Coburn, Jason Sharp, Jessica Padgett, Richard Blake, Candy Jaqua; and 6 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert "Bud" Sharp.

Willy Doemeland

Willy Doemeland, 75, of Aurora, IN, passed away Monday, November 28, 2011 in Aurora, IN.

He was born Sunday, February 9, 1936 in Germany, Son of the late August Doemeland and the late Louise Kestler Doemeland.

Willy was a self employed Automotive Parts Manufacturer. He was a member of the Church of God.


Willy was a musician who enjoyed playing the keyboard, the Dobro, and played and built the pedal steel guitar. Willy was also a train enthusiest.

Surviving are Wife, Lois Kincade Willoughby Doemeland of Aurora, IN; Daughter, Liesel Sollman of Reno, NV; Step Children, Heidi Warren of Reno, NV, Sandi Gentry of Aurora, IN, Jack Willoughby of Moores Hill, IN, Larry Willoughby of Madison, IN, Scott Willoughby of Aurora, IN., 14 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Step-son Don Willoughby.

David Martin "Marty" White, 37, of Moores Hill, IN, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He was born Wednesday, February 20, 1974 in Great Lakes, Illinois, Son of the late David A. White and Susan Chitwood Hoagland. He worked at Aurora Casket Company for several years. Marty enjoyed fishing, camping, corn hole and football. (Go Bengals!) But most of all, he loved being with his family.

Surviving are his Wife, Hope Lane White of Moores Hill, IN; Daughter, Destiny Lane of Moores Hill, IN; Son, David Aaron Keith White of Moores Hill, IN; Mother, Susan Chitwood Hoagland (Husband, Larry) of Hanover, IN; Sister, Heather Miller of Hanover, IN; Grandmothers, Ruth White and Mary Chitwood Sams both of Hanover, IN; Several Aunts, Uncles, In-Laws, Cousins, Nieces & Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, David A.White, grandfathers Russell White and Foster Chitwood.

Orval Frank Green

Orval Frank Green, 99, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He was born Monday, June 24, 1912 in Aurora, Indiana, Son of the late Andrew Green and the late Clara Bockhorst Green.

He worked as a Supervisor for I & M Power Plant, retiring after over 25 years of service.

Orval was a life time member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Aurora, where he served as long time Chairman of the Congregation and as long time secretary-treasurer. Orval served on the Riverview Cemetery Board for over 20 years. He enjoyed farming, hunting, sewing, wood working, and was very creative. He was a machinist by trade. Orval was very community minded. He was a great story teller who knew alot about Aurora history. Orval enjoyed life and traveled extensively, but his favorite pastime was time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are Son, Mel (Carol) Green of Aurora, IN; Grandchildren, Chris Green, Kelsey (Wayne)Wesley; Great-Grandchildren, Preston Orval and Collin J. Wesley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Aleda Luke Green and Brother, Earl Green.

Ida May Stober

Ida Mae Stober, 90, of Aurora, IN, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, In.

She was born Sunday, June 26, 1921 in Norwood, Ohio, Daughter of the late Charles Stober and the late Kate O'Hara Stober.

Ida ran the Shamrock Inn in Aurora for 18 years, and was also a clerk for Shillitos. She was a long time member of the Aurora First United Methodist Church, and an Internationally Yours member for over 25 years. She enjoyed working cross word puzzles and was an avid reader. "Aunt Idie" loved to bake cookies and enjoyed sharing them with family and friends.

Surviving are Sister, Amelia Fehling of Aurora, IN; Nephews, Roger (Debbie) Fehling, Fred (Joan) Fehling; Nieces, Harriet (Elmer) Johnson, Charlotte Hummel and many great nieces and nephews.
