James R. Day, 71, of Aurora, IN, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011 in Aurora, IN.

He was born Friday, November 1, 1940 in New Albany, Indiana, Son of the late Bernard A. Day and the late Frances Grantz Day.

James served his Country as a member of the United States Army. He worked as an Airline Mechanic for TWA, retiring after over 34 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. James joined Habitat for Humanity when it first started in Dearborn County, he has worked on 13out of 14 houses that have been built to date. Habitat was his passion.

Ronald Dean Sexton

Ronald Dean Sexton, 71, of Dillsboro, IN, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011 in Dillsboro, IN .

He was born Wednesday, January 24, 1940 in Carbondale, IL, Son of the late Lawrence Sexton and the late Ida Dunlap.

He served his Country as a member of the United States Army during Vietnam. Ronald worked as a Central Office Technician for Sprint Telephone Co., retiring after over 34 years of service.


Surviving are Sons, Shawn Sexton of Lawrenceburg, IN, Mike Sexton of Myrtle Beach, SC; Daughter, Debra Woods of Lawrenceburg, IN; Brother, Jerry Sexton of Herrin, IL; Sister, Debbie Taggett.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirlyn Sexton, Sisters, Arlene Atterbury and Darlene Probst.

Albert Nanni

Albert Nanni, 90, of Aurora, IN, passed away Friday, December 9, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He was born Monday, December 13, 1920 in Dayton, Ohio, Son of the late Victor Nanni and the late Georgina Mattioli Nanni.

Albert served his Country during WWII as a member of the United States Army.

He was a member of Community Fellowship Church for several years. Albert was an accomplished musician attending the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music for a number of years. He then decided to share his wonderful talents by teaching violin to both young and old. He has been the "Mentor" to many children and adults throughout the years and has a special bond with all of his students. He received the Indiana Music Hall Of Fame Award in 2007. Albert had an orchestra called "Nanni's Strings". They played at many different venues, such as churches, Hillforest, Nursing Homes, Restaurants, and the Aurora Farmers Fair. His many talents also include, square dancing and working on cars. Albert's loving wife, Helena, of 68 years was his most valued treasure, as were his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are Wife, Helena Nanni of Aurora, IN; Daughter, Linda Lee (Richard) Stanley of North Granby, CT; Son, Steven Albert (Deborah) Nanni of Aurora, IN; Granddaughters, Danielle (Richie) Baker and Christa (Jake) Clark; Great Granddaughters, Alyssa & Kaitlyn Baker.

William Alfred Huffman

William Alfred "Bill" Huffman, 84, of Aurora, IN. passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He was born Saturday, March 12, 1927 in Cleves, Ohio, Son of the late Charles W. Huffman and the late Frances Pavey Huffman.

He served his Country as a member of the United States Navy during WWII.

He worked as a Corrugator Operator for Alton Box Factory for several years.


Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years Shirley Huffman of Aurora, IN; Sons, Harold (Charlene) L Huffman of Plainfield, IN, William (Davetta) E. Huffman of Aurora, IN; Daughters, Elizabeth Dennis of Hornell, NY, Barbara E. Nelson of Cape Coral, FL, Esther (Raymond) L. Bevis of Aurora, IN; Brother, Jim (Shirley) Huffman of Vermillion, OH; 11 Grandchildren; 26 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Great-great-Grandchildren; and his beloved dog Lucy.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Charles W. Huffman and Frances Pavey Huffman; Son, William A. Huffman Jr., and Sister, Anna Sticksel.
