Mary A Neff, 84, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in Lawrenceburg.

She was born Monday, July 25, 1927 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Daughter of the late Elmer Hauke and the late Elsie Juilfs Hauke.

Mary worked as an RN for Dearborn County Hospital, retiring after over 42 years of service. She continued serving others by volunteering at DCH snack bar after retiring. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, was active in the Hi-Lo's Homemaker Club and belonged to the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, where she organized the first chapter in Aurora. Mary was lovingly known as the "Cookie Lady", and made the best sugar cookies around, they would melt in your mouth. Mary was a very caring person, whether she was helping someone during her nursing career or making someone smile with the gift of her cookies.

Surviving are Daughter, Mary Ann Smeeks of Aurora, IN; Son, George Neff of Aurora, IN; Sister, Lucille Ryall of Amelia, OH, Grandchildren, Jeremy Neff. Benjamin Smeeks, Erin Smeeks Bolton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard J. Neff, Sisters, Eileen Bowen and Elizabeth Schultz, and Daughter, Janet Neff Pelham.

Eugene Dewayne

Eugene Dewayne "Dewey" Trester, 66, of Aurora, IN, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He was born Wednesday, May 2, 1945 in Milan, Indiana, Son of the late Lawrence Trester and the late Ethel Luticia Mockbee Trester.

Dewey served his Country as a member of the United States National Guard. He was a1963 Graduate from Aurora High School and was a member of the Aurora Eagles. He attended Mt Tabor UMC. Dewey was an avid motor sport fan. He attended over 50 Indianapolis 500 Races. Dewey lived for the 500's. He also loved drag racing. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are Daughters, Pam (Tom) Bentley of Aurora, IN, Jana (David) Wunderlich of Aurora, IN; Son, Dale (Terri) Randall of Lawrenceburg, IN; Brother, Doug Trester (Debbie Siekman) of Aurora, IN; 14 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Randall Trester.

Edith S. Grimsley, 89, of Moores Hill, IN, passed away Monday, August 22, 2011 at her home.

She was born Tuesday, February 7, 1922 in Dillsboro, Indiana, Daughter of the late George Homann and the late Cora Tritch Homann.

Edith was a Clerk for Great American Financial, the Deputy Assessors for Dearborn County and a homemaker for the last several years. She was a member of St John's Lutheran Church in Aurora. Edith loved to cook and spend time with her loving husband of 70 years. She also enjoyed watching her grandsons play sports.

Surviving are her husband, Charles "Decker" Grimsley and Sons, Ron (Becky) Grimsley of Lafayette, IN, Rick (Kay) Grimsley of Batesville, IN; Grandchildren, Alex & Quinn Grimsley of Batesville, IN.

Russell Strunk, 87, of Lawrenceburg, IN, formerly of Greendale, IN, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He was born Tuesday, September 18, 1923, Son of the late Russell Strunk and the late Mittie Phillips Strunk.

Russell worked as a Superintendent for John T. Lohrer Construction Co., retiring after over 14 years of service. Prior to that job he worked in the coal mines of Kentucky. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Aurora, where he served as Deacon for several years. Russell was a faithful servant of the Lord. He was a Bible teacher and Bible Scholar. He started the Tape Ministries and Home Visitation program at the church. He touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew him.

Surviving are his Wife, Rose Wingate Strunk of Lawrenceburg, IN; Son, Gary (Nancy) Strunk of Mitchell, IN; Step-Daughter, Toni (Joe) Stovall of Indianapolis, IN; Sisters, Bonnie (Chester) Burke and Shirley (Jim) Wright of Louisville, KY, and 9 Grandchildren.

Susan Whitelock Estridge, 61, of Lawrenceburg, IN, formerly of Aurora, IN, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at her residence.

She was born Saturday, February 18, 1950 in South Whales, Great Britain, Daughter of the late Ryland Whitelock and the late Alma Roberts Whitelock.

She worked as a Clerk for the Country Store at the greater Cincinnati Airport. Susan enjoyed shopping, collecting purses, knitting and spending precious time with her family.
