Orval Frank Green, 99, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He was born Monday, June 24, 1912 in Aurora, Indiana, Son of the late Andrew Green and the late Clara Bockhorst Green.

He worked as a Supervisor for I & M Power Plant, retiring after over 25 years of service.

Orval was a life time member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Aurora, where he served as long time Chairman of the Congregation and as long time secretary-treasurer. Orval served on the Riverview Cemetery Board for over 20 years. He enjoyed farming, hunting, sewing, wood working, and was very creative. He was a machinist by trade. Orval was very community minded. He was a great story teller who knew alot about Aurora history. Orval enjoyed life and traveled extensively, but his favorite pastime was time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are Son, Mel (Carol) Green of Aurora, IN; Grandchildren, Chris Green, Kelsey (Wayne)Wesley; Great-Grandchildren, Preston Orval and Collin J. Wesley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Aleda Luke Green and Brother, Earl Green.
Ida May Stober

Ida Mae Stober, 90, of Aurora, IN, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, In.

She was born Sunday, June 26, 1921 in Norwood, Ohio, Daughter of the late Charles Stober and the late Kate O'Hara Stober.

Ida ran the Shamrock Inn in Aurora for 18 years, and was also a clerk for Shillitos. She was a long time member of the Aurora First United Methodist Church, and an Internationally Yours member for over 25 years. She enjoyed working cross word puzzles and was an avid reader. "Aunt Idie" loved to bake cookies and enjoyed sharing them with family and friends.

Surviving are Sister, Amelia Fehling of Aurora, IN; Nephews, Roger (Debbie) Fehling, Fred (Joan) Fehling; Nieces, Harriet (Elmer) Johnson, Charlotte Hummel and many great nieces and nephews.

Wallace Lee "Wally" Hall, 55, of Aurora, IN, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

He was born Thursday, April 12, 1956 in Williamson, WV, Son of the late Joseph Hall and the late Melda Workman Hall.

He worked as a Table Game Supervisor for Hollywood Casino. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, and he really enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Roberta C. Hall; Sons, Shannon Hundley, Robert Melrose and Steven Melrose all of Columbus, OH; Brother, Billy Hall of Columbus, OH; Sisters, Suzie Konkoskia of Pinkerton, OH, Della Martin of Carrie, OH; Niece, Amy Marcum of Columbus, OH; Grandchildren, River and Bobby Melrose, Seth, Suzette and Steven Jr. Melrose, Shannon Hundley Jr., Arica Hundley, Chelsea Hall.

He was preceded in death by son, Michael Hall.
Carolyn Cleary Sutton

Carolyn Cleary Sutton, 82, of Aurora, IN, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in Carmel, IN.

She was born, February 18, 1929 in Indianapolis, IN, Daughter of the late James Cleary and the late Mary Alice Dee Cleary.

Carolyn was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and formerly on the Board of Hillforest Historical Foundation. She was the Membership Development Director for the Great Rivers Girl Scout Council for over 18 years. She enjoyed reading, but her passion was her grandchildren.

Surviving are Son, Jack (Beth) Sutton of Greendale, IN; Daughters, Dr. Lyn (Bruce) Ranta of Milwaukee, WI, Anne (Tom) Tatem of Kensington, MD, Sue Sutton PhD (Husband, Jon Bricker) of Carmel, IN; Sister, Alicia Finneran of Columbus, OH; Grandchilden, Kelsey, Zachary & Matthew Ranta; John Francis, Kathleen & Alexander Tatem, Hannah, Abby & Haley Sutton and Julia & Natalie Bricker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John Sutton.

Ida Ross, 73, of Aurora, Indiana , passed away Monday, November 7, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

She was born Saturday, January 22, 1938 in Louisville, KY, Daughter of the late William Cobb and the late Myrtle Hammons Cobb.

She was a homemaker, a member of Aurora Moose Lodge Auxiliary and former American Legion and VFW Auxiliary member. Ida enjoyed retirement and was an avid reader. She loved life, the river and boating.

Surviving are her loving Husband of 54 years, Frank M Ross of Aurora, IN; Sons, Benjamin Scott Ross of Oxford, OH, Frank M. Ross Jr. of Trenton, OH; Grandchild, Lindsey Marie Ross.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters.
