Marilyn Grace Faber, 78, of Aurora, IN, died Monday, January 10, 2011 in Milan, IN.

She was born Monday, October 3, 1932 in Aurora, Indiana, Daughter of the late Orville Hilker and the late Dorothy Noppert Hilker.

She was a life long member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Beta Sigma Phi, Mary Makers, St. Vincent de Paul, and Anchor Retiree Club. She was also a founding member of the Heart House, and for over 35 years was associated with the Red Cross/Hoxworth Blood Center as a volunteer. In 2004, Marilyn was voted First Lady of the Year by her sorority sisters in Beta Sigma Phi.

She worked as a Packer for Anchor Glass, retiring after 34 years of service. She loved to play cards and games, and was a fanatic about flags. Marilyn disliked misspelled words, but loved her family, grandkids, and helping others.

Surviving are Sons, Jeff (Donna) Faber of Florence, IN, Andrew (Julie) Faber of Aurora, IN, Stephen (Catie) Faber of Aurora, IN; Sisters, Audrey Speier of Lafayette, IN, Betty Tyler of Aurora, IN; Aunt, Anna Thomas of Aurora, IN; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Faber, son Gregory, Sisters, Regina Boerst and Christina Strautman and grandsons Scott Faber and Harley Tate.


Services

Friends will be received 4:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, January 14, 2011 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church203 Fourth Street, Aurora, Indiana.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Saturday, at 11:00 am with Father Stephen Donahue officiating.

Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, IN 47001.
