JoAnn Coggeshall, age 74, died on December 4, 2009 in Auburndale, FL., of Cruetzfeld-Jakob Disease.  JoAnn was born to Chick and Tudy Kennedy in Aurora, Indiana where she spent most of her life.  In Aurora High School, JoAnn was a tennis player, cheerleader and majorette.  After graduation she married her high school sweetheart, Chester Coggeshall.  Together, JoAnn and Chester had two children, Dave and Pam.  While the children were still in elementary school she earned a bachelors degree in education and library science from Miami University and continued her love of education earning her Specialist Degree from Indiana State University.  JoAnn was a Media Specialist at Aurora Middle School before opening South Dearborn High School as the Media Specialist and Tennis Coach.  After the death of her beloved husband she moved to Florida to be near her grandsons, Dave and Cazzie.  While her grandsons were growing up she enjoyed many baseball, football, and soccer games.  Even her grandsons could not keep this very active Grandma occupied, she found retirement too boring.  She set her sights on Alaska where she became a Guest Services Representative in Talkeetna and Denali for Royal Celebrity Tours.  She enjoyed many years of years of viewing  “her mountain”, Mount McKinley.  JoAnn enjoyed traveling, her family, her friends and her dogs as a member of the Big Horn Hunting Club, but mostly her life and all the challenges and love she found along the way.  Her husband, Chester Coggeshall, her parents, Chick and Tudy Kennedy, and her brother, Robert Kennedy, preceded JoAnn in death.  She is survived by her two children, Dave and his wife Donna of Polk City, Florida and Pam Berryman and her husband Howard of Naples, Florida.  JoAnn also leaves two grandson, Dave Coggeshall and his wife Barbara of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Cazzie Hays of Naples, Florida along with two great children Ander and Chani Coggeshall.  In addition she leaves a brother, Dr. Mike Kennedy and his wife Linda and one sister-in-law, Ione Kenney.  Furthermore, she lovingly leaves behind three nephews, Mark, Kirk and Aaron Kennedy and one niece, Holly Kennedy.  JoAnn had a love of life and lived life to the fullest.  She was an extraordinary mom to the end to her children and supportive friend to those she met along her journey on this Earth.
