Donald Raymond "Don"  Smith, 80, of  Lawrenceburg, IN, formerly of Wilmington, Indiana, died Friday, March 14, 2008 in Dillsboro, IN.

He was born Wednesday, September 21, 1927 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Son of the late Edward Smith and the late Mary Frances Gadner.

He served his Country as a WWII Army  Veteran.
He was a member of the Aurora VFW Post 5312, where he served as a past Quartermaster and past Commander.  He also was a bartender at the VFW. 
He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and after retirement was the Train Operator at Strickers Grove, Ross, OH.

Surviving are Daughter, Donna  Robinson of Aurora, IN; Brother, George Smith of Dayton, OH; Sister, Betty Jean Seaver of Lawrenceburg, IN; 5 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Son: Donald Wayne Smith, 1 Sister, 3 Brothers, &  a Grandson.


Friends will be received 12:00 - 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Rullman Hunger Denney Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Wednesday, at 2:00 pm, following visitaton with Pastor Tom Fehrman officiating.

Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, .  Color Guard Services will be conducted by the Korean War Veterans and the American Veterans.
