Clyde L. Myers, 94, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011 in Lawrenceburg, In.

He was born Wednesday, March 21, 1917 in Milan, Indiana, Son of the late Rowe Edwin Myers and the late Laura Voorhees Myers.

He served his Country during WWII as a member of the United States Army. He received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Clyde, at the age of 92, was privileged to go on the Honor Flight to Washington DC, where he placed the wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and visited the WWII Memorial.

He worked as an Operator for Seagram's Distillery, retiring after over 42 years of service.

Clyde loved hunting, fishing, and camping, and he was a very good baseball player in his younger years.

Surviving are his loving wife of 73 years, Frances Myers of Lawrenceburg, IN; Sons, Tom (Angie) Myers of Moores Hill, IN, Bill (Connie) Myers of Lawrenceburg, IN; Grandchildren, Nick (Jill) Myers, Pat (Amy) Myers, Becky (Jesse) Craig, Shelly Myers; Great-Grandchildren, Kendall, Andrew & Alison Myers and another on the way.


Friends will be received 10:00 -11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at 11:00 am immediately following visitation.

Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, IN 47001. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of local Veterans Service Organizations.
